    1.Work principle:

    The desanding equipment operates on the principle of centrifugal separation to remove sand and impurities from materials. Its water inlet pipe is mounted at an eccentric position on the cylinder. When slurry flows through the cyclone sand inlet into the water inlet pipe, it first forms a downward tangential swirling flow that spirals along the cylinder wall. Upon reaching a specific section of the cone, the water flow reverses direction to rotate upward along the cylinder axis, eventually discharging through the water outlet pipe.
    Under the combined action of fluid inertial centrifugal force and gravity, impurities move along the cone wall and settle into the conical slag hopper at the bottom. The cone base is equipped with anti-reflux components to prevent settled impurities from being carried upward by the water flow. When the impurities in the slag hopper accumulate to a certain level, opening the manual valve allows the impurities to be flushed out with the water current.


    2. Description of Desander :


    The desanding dehydration cyclone is primarily engineered for the removal of sand and silt from starch slurry, cassava slurry, and potato slurry post-crushing. It finds extensive application across multiple starch processing sectors, including corn starch production, cassava starch and flour manufacturing, wheat starch processing, sago processing, and potato starch processing.
